Automotive Cyber Security Management System
The ever-increasing networking of vehicles opens up a wide range of possibilities, such as over-the-air updates or autonomous driving.
However, the vehicle's attack surface is increasing at the same rate, and with it the importance of cybersecurity in the automotive industry.
The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) has responded by creating the Task Force on Cyber Security and Over-the-Air issues.
In June 2020, this Task Force drafted and adopted the "Draft new UN Regulation on uniform provisions concerning the approval of vehicles with regard to cybersecurity", which will be transposed into the national law of the UNECE's area of application.
An audit of the cybersecurity management system (CSMS) of the OEMs and an assessment regarding cybersecurity within the scope of the type approval is required there and the OEM must handle the dependencies with the contractual partners accordingly.
The VDA volume defines the catalogue of questions and the evaluation scheme that can be applied when auditing the CSMS of both OEMs and contractual partners.
We are a direct cooperation partner of the AQI (Automotive Quality Institute). The AQI as a 100% subsidiary of the VDA has been instrumental in the content. As an experienced audit service manager in combination with the expert competences of the AQI you will receive everything from us at first hand and are guaranteed to be on the safe side in the implementation of your automotive cyber security management system!
